More aeoniums and Cistanthe grandiflora for the downstairs entryway (thanks, Ibaad!) + our shady seed mix starts to pop + even more nasturtium leaves + a watermelon garden party + custom stickers + blue-blue-blueing blueberries + sunflowers starting to show + itty bitty buds on our raspberry!
APRIL 2024
A gorgeous thornless blackberry flower + watering our bounty + nasturtiums we planted from seed pop up downstairs + watering our bounty + the slugs keep coming + cantaloupe for eating and for seeding + planting watermelon and pumpkins (for the first time! 🤞🏼) + blueberries are blueing and taste delicious!!!!
MARCH 2024
Grape sprouts + thornless blackberry sprouts + smoke tree leafs out (and flowers!!) + tasting golden berries + the slugs found our strawbs + René’s special lemon ginger tea + beans beans beans + the grapevine comes to life + a new blueberry bush + re-potting the new blueberry bush + orchids showing off + lots of spring goodness!
FEBRUARY 2024
Grape taste tests (red v green v cotton candy!) + labeling our garden + major snailfest + planting a rescued collection of lamb’s ear + earthworms abound + fingers crossed for our thornless blackberry cuttings to take + aeonium in bloom + a bed of lettuce seeds + spring is springing!
JANUARY 2024
Happy new year! + getting lighter later + clearing out the tomatoes + discovering onions + moving the mint + tasting the tiniest mandarins + ripe lemons on our tree + orchid buds + a documenting our plants in a super special garden journal + finding earthworms + wrangling Sonic the slug (the fastest slug on earth) + planting strawberries!!!!! + labeling everything + sowing water-wise wildflowers + watching them grow.
DECEMBER 2023
Twilight arrives earlier + festive tree pins + small foliage bouquets (swags!) + goodbye to 2023 + ready for 2024 💚 .
NOVEMBER 2023
Fruit taste tests + a corny experiment starts to sprout + itty bitty sunflowers keep blooming + a bounty of new plants courtesy of Flowercraft (thank you, Flowercraft!) + planting thornless blackberry cuttings I’ve been nursing for months + the rain begins + dusk falls early on the garden as we head into a cozy winter.
